Curiosity eventually got the better of me, and I decided to follow the Sea Bands trail and see where it led. When I contacted the Royal Fleet Auxiliary’s Principal Medical Officer, Dr Driver, I struck lucky right away. Devo's influence on music and pop culture still lingers to this day. With a new Netflix documentary streaming, here's a look at the band members then and now.
A Netflix documentary about the band is now streaming. In the early 1970s, Devo disrupted the music scene with wacky energy domes, robotic struts, and a sound that was anything but traditional. By combining elements of new wave, punk, and social satire, Devo carved out a legacy that still feels relevant decades later. Fast forward to now, and while those trademark domes have seemingly been retired, the band members themselves have continued to evolve in surprising ways, whether that's through new music or unexpected side quests. When Devo hit pause in the early 1990s, Bob didn't stay down for long. He founded The Bob I Band and collaborated with Mark on the soundtracks to Rugrats, The Wild Thornberrys (1998–2004), and How to Eat Fried Worms (2006), among many others. These days, Bob's still doing what he does best: performing with Devo. He recently reunited with the band for the SNL50: Homecoming Concert and is gearing up to hit the road again on the Cosmic De-Evolution tour this fall.Myers died on June 24, 2013, following a battle with stomach cancer. The loss was deeply felt by his former bandmates, including Freese, who wrote on X at the time, "RIP Alan Myers. 1 of my all time favs. An underrated/brilliant drummer. Such an honor playing his parts w/Devo.

I hated the patches, the bands work only if you find the correct spot for the pressure point I just bought the generic Meclizine at Costco, and ginger chews from Trader Joe's. I felt the motions more in the main dining rooms where I couldn't see out a window and look at the horizon.
Sea bands work well for me. Idk if it is a placebo effect, but I don’t seem to get nauseous when wearing them https://a.co/d/4ClwqYMI got patches from my doctor to help with motion sickness on my upcoming Alaska cruise. The instructions say not to drink with them, so I am hesitant…We’ve had plenty of alcohol while wearing the patches and we’ve had no adverse effects at all on numerous cruises. Everyone is different but try it out. If you don’t feel right then either stop drinking or take the patch off and drink. By the amount of people you see patched up and drinking on the ships you wouldn’t think it has any significant effects on anyone.I got patches from my doctor to help with motion sickness on my upcoming Alaska cruise. The instructions say not to drink with them, so I am hesitant to use them as I would like to enjoy a drink or two on the trip. Does anyone have experience with the wrist bands?
Many saw the blue band during the last Lunar eclipse in March 2025. ... We literally can't wait for the eclipse this weekend! A record-breaking 7 billion people, from Oceania to the eastern coast of the Americas, will see the Moon’s disappearance inside the Earth’s shadow before turning red.
As it is darkened by our planet, the Moon might gain some extra color: a blue band at the edge of the red. What gives? The rest of this article is behind a paywall. Please sign in or subscribe to access the full content. A total lunar eclipse, as the one the planet is about to experience, is also known as a blood moon, as our natural satellite turns ruby red during the tens of minutes that it spends in the cone of our planet’s shadow. The reasons for the red and for the blue are connected, as we are about to see.The reason why the sky is blue during the day and red at dawn and dusk is the scattering of sunlight through the atmosphere. The same scattering sends some red light into the umbra. But not just red light. If the conditions are right, just before totality as the Moon gets redder, you can see a blue-violet band between the red and the white portion of the Moon. The rest of Africa, Australia, much of Europe, and the east coast of Brazil will get at least part of the totality and the partiality. You can check Time&Date.com for precise timings to see the eclipse at your location. To see the blue band, it’s best to look at the Moon in the minutes before totality or right after with binoculars or a small telescope. The curious phenomenon can be spotted under the right conditions.
